OXU3111
USB SuperSpeed 3.0 to SATA Controller with Encryption
The OXU3111 is a high performance storage controller bridging between USB3.0 and a single SATA hard disk (HDDs) or solid state drive (SSD). Fully compliant with the USB3.0 Specification, the OXU3111 integrates a hardware cipher engine and supports a range of power saving features, making it the ideal solution for secure bus-powered applications. Delivering industry leading performance the OXU3111 integrates a USB 3.0 device, which is backward compatible with USB 2.0, and a SATA II host controller and enables designers to create products with a minimal number of external components and a low cost BOM.
The integrated cipher engine provides on-the-fly encryption / decryption of the data to the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and enables OEMs to rapidly deploy full disk encryption solutions, providing end users with peace-of-mind that their private content is safe and secure in the event of theft or loss. The OXU3111 is complemented by robust authentication solutions, including software password and a customizable host application.
The OXU3111 is provided with robust application firmware, thereby shortening development cycles, and PLX offers a comprehensive support package including evaluation boards, reference designs and software development kit.
